Click here and go to MICROSOFT UPDATE CHECKUP and allow MICROSOFT to check your computer for updates. Follow the instructions on the screen and MICROSOFT will auto-install all the updates for WINDOWS that you need in your computer. (the WINDOWS software in your computer needs to be Genuine Windows Product) Microsoft will validate your product as part of the updating service. Third Step Click here to install WINDOWS DEFENDER Microsoft offers Windows Defender Anti-Spyware software for WINDOWS USERS for FREE and will auto-install the program in your computer. Click on this link and then click on CONTINUE towards the top of the page for validation . Again, MICROSOFT needs to validate your product to make sure is genuine. NEWSGROUPS The Web and Internet were created as a Free worldwide medium of communications. The w3c (World Wide Web Consortium) used to maintain an archived compilation of all Newsgroups a/k/a USENET.
Newsgroups are the "Free Internet" and the w3c are supposed to be the "watchdogs" of this FREE medium, as it was intended to be from the very beginning. The "Free Internet" has been "sold out" and "power houses" have become major purchasers of practically all "rights of ownership" to Newsgroups. The availability to freely view and/or review Newsgroups by a worldwide Internet audience is gone and the rights of the creators and their contributors appear to have been trampled upon (appear to have been stolen) without apparent recourse. Today, in order to view Newsgroups on anything relating to almost everything including, but not limited to, "alt.sex" and germane issues are being sold by the "power houses" -purchasers of almost all archives- to private providers whom in turn sell their content to the public at large at a premium. The problem is not that DejaNews.com (a private company) sold their 1995 - 2001 archives to a major search engine corporation; the mystery however, is that w3c used to publish the entire archives as early as this year (2006) and while the listings are still there, direct links have dissapeared from the w3c web site. This action, in and of itself, has rendered one corporate outfit with a monopoly on information that belongs in the public domain. When you click on w3c Archives to reach NEWSGROUPS and then click on any groups within the .alt hierarchy you are now directed to nowhere. The w3c, as of November 27, 2006 is reinstating the archives (minus the 1995 - 2001 files) and when you try to access the .alt files you are taken to a page where all .alt groups are listed in alphabetical order without any kind of indexing which means that you have to search page after thousands of pages until you get to the newsgroups of interest, only to tell you that "you are not authorized". But, w3c is still doing a reinstating job and they are not up to alt.sex as yet. It will be interesting to see how they handle this segment of NEWSGROUPS ARCHIVES and if in fact they intend to direct viewers to the pay sites. The obstacle now is that when you click on any one group you get a window that reads "you are not authorized" (at least the ones I've tried) and directs you to a pay site. Public records, created and authored by the public at large are immediately taken and closed to the public to be sold by resellers. Their argument I'm almost certain, would be saying that they are only charging for file maintenance and perhaps safekeeping of the records. But, when the public has no other medium of access, the actions taken on February 12, 2001 (date of purchase from DejaNews) deliver absolute power and control of the records to the buyer. It appears that the only other source for the records (w3c) directs the viewer to pay sites. No one in their right mind would pay an amount that possibly ran into the millions unless they had a prior commitment from the main and original source (w3c) to the effect that the World Wide Web Consortium (w3c) would bow to the buyer. What prompted the apparent decision of the independent w3c to commit such act of indiscriminate and blatant violation of worldwide public rights? Well, I'll give you one possible guess to the question, and you already know the answer. Money, of course, is the obvious motivator, but, as companies and private enterprises reap the benefits of globalization in terms of multi-billion currency revenues, more scary is the fact that they are also acquiring the almost limitless power that was once the privilege of governments within their borders, but no more. In all fairness, DejaNews had the right to sell their archived compilations of NEWSGROUPS and any major search engines also had the right to buy from DejaNews whatever records DejaNews had compiled through years of work and effort. However, the w3c that pride themselves in establishing "non-proprietary work" for Web standards and continually receive public and private funding, thus making the w3c by all measure a "non-profit" organization should continue to make NEWSGROUPS available without engaging in this act of promoting marketing strageties for other entities in what appears to be a violation of public domain rights. The Web/Internet is a magnificent medium, quick adapting to changes and new technologies, and not unlike many other mediums where the viewer is free to choose what to watch, read, view and/or decide on their interacting limits. But, the Internet is also a very dangerous place far beyond the usual practitioners seeking to deceive the public, quick buck schemes, fraudulent sites, or even the sale of poorly designed software. The Web/Internet is a resilient, wide open medium that can very easily create rogue and invisible governments, it creates anonymity for highly technical users, instant strategic communication and could easily render governments' laws ineffective and extremely difficult to enforce. It can also violate peoples' rights and their safety with apparent impunity. The point is, that governments are far behind the technology, slow to react to rapid developments and non-pro-active. It renders the Internet wide open to the good, the bad and the ugly. |

Dated: January 13, 2007 - The w3c (USERNET) Site is now listing 48,477 Newsgroups under the .alt hierarchy distributed in 20 Newsgroups batches per web page which means that in order to view the heading for any specific group within the hierarchy you have to click ~NEXT 20 USERNET NEWSGROUP HEADERS~ a few hundred times before you are able to reach, for instance, swingers.alt, but don't bother, because even if you waste your time clicking your way into oblivion, when you get to the desired heading, you'll get a message that reads "GET INSTANT NEWSGROUP ACCESS HERE" and the above link takes you to a page for pay sites where you can choose the NEWSGROUP SERVICE ACCESS you wish for a monthly fee.
